The IFA team came together at the Foundations of Legacy Fiqh Symposium 2026 — a gathering of scholars convened to examine Zakah governance, public interest, and the realities of Islamic finance in contemporary minority contexts.

As the Academic Authority for the symposium, IFA helped safeguard the scholarship behind the discussions and is authoring the reference-grade fiqh standard arising from it. It was a privilege to take part alongside scholars and specialists from across the field.
