Certification
Independent Shari'ah review — of a product, an endowment, or a charity's projects — certified under the scholarly oversight of IFA's Panel of Scholars, and published on a register anyone can check.
A claim you can check, not one you take on trust
Anyone can say their product is halal, or that their cause deserves your zakah. Certification replaces that claim with an independent review by qualified scholars — recorded, dated, and published on a register that stays open to the public. Each certification covers a specific product or project, not the organisation as a whole, and is reviewed every year.
Three kinds of certification
Shari'ah-Compliant
Products, services and company structures reviewed against IFA's Shari'ah standards and certified as compliant.
Waqf-Compliant
Endowment (Waqf) structures reviewed against the principles of Waqf in the Shari'ah and certified as sound.
Zakah-Eligible
Charitable projects assessed against IFA's published Zakah Policy and verified as eligible to receive and distribute zakah.

Your zakah is only valid if it reaches an eligible recipient. Check a cause is certified before you give.
